I jst got myself a XPERIA X2 yesterday. Right after setup and installation, it started giving me this pop up messages- "Message from Network". Tried googling for a solution but was unable to find anything. I contacted the Xperia customer service and they were able to trouble shoot it. Here it goes:
- Goto Start>Settings>Personal>Phone
- The first tab you would see there is the sounds tab. Scroll across to the "Broadcast" tab
- Uncheck the "enable" checkbox under Broadcast channels and Click OK
- Bingo! this should stop the Network messages from popping up

One of the Worst ever phones I've ever had .. Upgraded to Xperia X10.. nice phone but has the most ancient android version.. even though the sony ericsson blogs says they are gonna come up with a androiand version update by Q4 2010.. no news of the same so far... God save Sony!!
